How is the data guarantee paid out?

If a record we report turns out to be materially wrong — for example, we say 'no outstanding finance' but the car had an active HP agreement we missed — you can claim under guarantee terms up to your tier's amount. Claims are validated against the underlying data feed and paid by bank transfer within 30 days.

How long is the guarantee valid?

12 months from the date of the check, on the specific vehicle and registration we checked.

Where does the data come from?

DVLA (vehicle register), DVSA (MOT history), Experian (PNC stolen register, UK finance houses), and MIAFTR (insurance write-offs). All queried live at the time of your check.

Can I get a refund?

If the check fails to return data because the registration doesn't exist or our providers can't reach the live registers, we refund in full. Once a successful report is delivered, refunds are at our discretion under our refund policy.

How quickly do I get the report?
